Data Deletion

This page explains how to remove data from Strata Connect. If you've messaged a business that uses Strata Connect, commented on one of their Facebook or Instagram posts, or you're an operator running a Strata Connect workspace, you can delete your data using the paths below.

If you messaged or commented on a business using Strata Connect

You have two ways to delete your data.

Option A — Remove Strata Connect from your Facebook settings (fastest)

This is the simplest path for Messenger and Instagram Direct users. Note: if you only interacted via comments on a business's posts, this callback may not cover your data — use Option B instead.

  1. Go to Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites
  2. Find Strata Connect in the list of connected apps
  3. Click Remove

Facebook will notify us through their Data Deletion Callback. We will purge your data from Strata Connect within 30 daysand send a confirmation receipt through Facebook's callback response.

Option B — Email us directly

Email privacy@bscalelabs.com with:

  • The channel you used (Messenger, Instagram Direct, Facebook comments, Instagram comments, or another)
  • The name of the business you contacted or whose post you commented on
  • Any other identifying information you can share (page name, approximate date of the conversation or comment)

We will confirm your request within 7 days and purge your data within 30 days of verification.

If you're an operator

Delete your workspace from Settings

  1. Sign in to Strata Connect
  2. Go to Settings → General
  3. Click Delete workspace
  4. Confirm the deletion

Your workspace enters a 30-day recovery window. During this window, any admin can restore it. After the recovery window closes, we hard-purge all workspace data within 90 days.

Request earlier hard-deletion

If you need your workspace data hard-deleted immediately (for example, for a compliance audit), email privacy@bscalelabs.com from the address on file. We will verify you are an admin and complete the hard-delete within 30 days.

What we delete

When you request deletion, we remove:

  • Your messages, conversation history, and comments
  • Your contact profile and any derived data (summaries, tags, notes)
  • Attachments shared in messages or comments
  • Workspace content you created (for operators): knowledge base pages, agent configurations, booking records, analytics tied to your workspace
  • Channel access tokens and subscription records tied to the removed asset

What we retain (and why)

A narrow set of records is retained even after deletion, because Philippine law or our own security obligations require it:

These records are minimized — they hold enough information to satisfy the obligation and no more.

Backups containing deleted data are rotated out within 90 days of the original deletion.

Meta Data Deletion Callback

Strata Connect implements Meta's Data Deletion Callback as required by the Meta Platform Terms. When a user removes Strata Connect from their Facebook settings, Meta sends a signed request to our callback endpoint. We verify the signature, enqueue the deletion, and return a confirmation URL Meta can use to check status.

The callback endpoint and status URL are documented in our Meta App configuration. If you are a reviewer or a user who needs to verify a specific deletion request, email privacy@bscalelabs.com with the confirmation_code returned in your original receipt.
